About AgentReady™#
AgentReady™ is an AI readiness scanner and optimization platform. It analyzes any public website across eight scoring factors and produces a single AI Readiness Score from 0 to 100, along with a letter grade, detailed sub-scores, and a prioritized list of issues with fix recommendations.
The goal is simple: help websites get discovered, cited, and recommended by AI systems. As search shifts from traditional keywords to AI-generated answers, the sites that AI can read and trust will win. AgentReady™ shows you exactly where you stand and what to fix.
Scanning Basics#
A scan takes 15 to 45 seconds depending on site size. You enter any public URL, and AgentReady™ crawls the site, evaluates eight factors, and returns your results. No installation or access to your server is required — the scanner only reads publicly available information, just like an AI crawler would.
You can scan your own site, competitor sites, or client sites. There is no limit on which domains you can scan. For details on how to run your first scan, see the getting started guide.
Scoring and Methodology#
The AI Readiness Score is a weighted average of eight factors: Schema Markup (18%), Content Quality (20%), Bot Access (20%), Topic Clarity (10%), AI Protocols (10%), Speed (5%), Authority (10%), and Crawl Health (7%). Each factor is scored independently on a 0 to 100 scale, then combined using these weights.
The scoring system also includes floors (score caps that activate when fundamental problems exist) and bonuses (multipliers that reward excellence in certain combinations). For full details, see how scoring works and the floors and bonuses reference.
Improving Your Score#
Start with the high-impact issues in your scan results. The most common quick wins are: allowing AI crawlers in your
robots.txt file, adding Organization schema markup to your homepage, and restructuring key pages to lead with direct answers.
You do not need to fix everything at once. Pick the top two or three issues, make the changes, and rescan. Each round of fixes will move your score. The fix guides section has step-by-step instructions for every category of improvement.Related Pages
Frequently Asked Questions
Is AgentReady™ free to use?
AgentReady™ offers a free tier that includes basic scanning capabilities. Paid plans unlock deeper scans, bulk scanning, API access, historical tracking, and advanced features. Visit the pricing page for current plan details.
How often should I scan my site?
We recommend scanning after every round of changes. For ongoing monitoring, a weekly or biweekly cadence works well. AI readiness can shift as you publish new content, update plugins, or change server configurations.
Does AI readiness replace traditional SEO?
No. AI readiness complements traditional SEO. Many optimizations overlap — good content structure, fast load times, and clean markup help both. But AI readiness adds factors that traditional SEO does not cover, like AI protocol support (llms.txt, NLWeb, MCP), bot access policies for AI crawlers specifically, and schema depth that goes beyond basic rich snippets.
Which AI systems does AgentReady™ optimize for?
AgentReady™ evaluates readiness for all major AI platforms: ChatGPT (OpenAI), Perplexity, Google AI Overviews (Gemini), Microsoft Copilot, Claude (Anthropic), and emerging AI agents. The eight scoring factors are universal — they apply across all AI systems.
Can I scan a site I don't own?
Yes. AgentReady™ only reads publicly accessible information — the same information any AI crawler or search engine can see. You can scan competitor sites, client sites, or any public website without permission or installation.
What is the difference between AI readiness and an AI Readiness Score?
AI readiness is the general concept of how well-prepared a website is for AI discovery and citation. The AI Readiness Score is the specific 0-to-100 number that AgentReady™ calculates based on its eight-factor analysis. Think of AI readiness as the concept and the score as the measurement.
Why is my score capped even though most sub-scores are high?
You likely have an active floor. Floors cap your overall score when a fundamental problem exists — for example, if you deliberately block all AI crawlers. Check the floors section of your results and fix the underlying issue first. See the floors and bonuses reference for the complete list.
Do you support scanning sites behind a login or paywall?
No. AgentReady™ only scans publicly accessible content. Pages behind logins, paywalls, or IP restrictions cannot be analyzed. This mirrors what AI crawlers can access — if a page requires authentication, AI systems cannot read it either.
How is AgentReady™ different from Google PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse?
Google PageSpeed and Lighthouse focus on web performance and Core Web Vitals. AgentReady™ evaluates a completely different dimension: how well AI systems can discover, read, understand, and cite your content. Speed is only one of eight factors in our score (at 5% weight). We also evaluate schema markup, bot access, content structure, AI protocols, authority signals, and crawl health — none of which PageSpeed covers.
What are AI protocols and do I need them?
AI protocols are emerging standards like llms.txt, NLWeb, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) that help AI systems interact with your site more effectively. They are not strictly required, but adopting them gives you a significant advantage — especially as AI-driven discovery grows. Think of them as the next generation of robots.txt and sitemaps. See the AI protocols section for details.
Can I integrate AgentReady™ into my existing tools?
Yes. AgentReady™ offers a REST API that returns structured JSON data. You can integrate scan results into custom dashboards, reporting tools, CI/CD pipelines, or client portals. See the API reference for endpoint details.
How accurate is the AI Readiness Score?
The score is based on objective, measurable signals — schema markup presence, bot access rules, content structure, page speed metrics, and more. It does not predict exactly how often AI will cite you (that depends on query relevance and competition), but it measures how prepared your site is to be cited when relevant queries arise. Sites with higher scores have demonstrably better AI visibility.
Do you offer agency or enterprise plans?
Yes. Agency plans include bulk scanning, higher API rate limits, and upcoming white-label reporting. Enterprise plans add dedicated support and custom integrations. Contact our team for pricing based on your portfolio size.
Is my scan data private?
Your scan results are associated with your account and not publicly visible. However, the data AgentReady™ analyzes is all publicly accessible information — we do not access anything private. Other users can independently scan the same domains and see similar results.
What happens if a scan fails?
Scans can fail if the target site is unreachable, returns server errors, or blocks our crawler. If a scan fails, you will see a clear error message explaining the reason. Common fixes include verifying the URL is correct, ensuring the site is online, and checking that your server is not blocking automated requests.
